The Renewable of Low Toxicity Gelcasting Porous Ceramic as Fe2O3 Catalyst Support on Phenol Photodegradation

Low toxicity gelcasting water-based method was conducted using a non-acrylamide system, with cassava starch and natural clay as poregenic agent raw material, respectively, the resulting porous ceramic used Fe2O3 catalyst support. The concentrations of were 1%, 3%, 5%, 7%, 9%, sintering process performed based on results TGA/DTA thermal analysis. In addition, sol-gel coating to impregnate into ceramic. BET show that pores formed in body are micro size range 21.41-23.27 Å, hence concentration does not affect pore characteristics. morphology SEM also indicated presence formation body. According quantitative XRD analysis, affects percentage impregnated. highest 7% 41.15% phase successfully impregnated α-Fe2O3with rhombohedral structure. phenol degradation 59.15% good performance after 8 times recycling. this study, we provide for first time, utilization Fe2O3-porous ceramics wonderful recycling ability photodegradation.
